In association with Emergency First Response (EFR) though our instructor,
Karl van Zwol, we will be offering the Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care
(First Aid) courses. These courses will be run as one course which will be
completed in 8 hours. The combined course is the equivalent of the St. John
Ambulance Lifesaver and Lifesaver Plus courses. In the future we will also
be offering the EFR Care for Children and First Aid at Work courses. EFR is
recognised around the world and in particular by the HSE. They are adequate
for the purposes of renewing your REPS accreditation. These courses are offered
either in our training studio or at a location of your choice. (minimum course
size: 6 people)
EFR first aid courses use state-of-the-art teaching methods that are designed
to enhance your learning in the quickest possible time. After completing the
Knowledge and Skill Development sections of the course you will practice your
newly learnt skills in simulated scenarios. The course includes training in
CPR, choking, bleeding, shock, and spinal injury management, illness and injury
assessment, bandaging and splinting for fractures.
